High-Stakes to Human-Centred
Why we believe leadership isn’t about titles, it’s about trust, clarity and consistent action.
Founder & SASR Veteran
Meet James Jensen
Born in regional Victoria and raised with a deep respect for discipline, service and community, James Jensen’s path to leadership began in the high-stakes world of military special operations. At 19, James was accepted into the Australian Army, and soon after, into the country’s most elite unit - the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR). Over 20 years of service, James led teams in complex, high-pressure missions across the globe, where clarity, trust, and decision-making under extreme conditions weren’t optional, they were survival.
But it wasn’t just about tactics or strategy. It was about people.
During his time in service, James saw how the best leaders weren’t always the loudest or the most decorated. They were the ones who could create calm in chaos, make others feel seen, and lead with conviction, not ego.
After leaving the military, James turned his focus to a new challenge: helping others lead with the same level of intention, discipline, and humility. He founded K6 Consulting with one goal - to develop leaders who don’t just manage, but inspire their teams to perform at their full potential.
With a philosophy built on experience, James’ programs guide leaders to test, refine and live their leadership daily. He believes the best leadership development happens over time - through reflection, experimentation, and the willingness to try again.
Today, James brings his rare combination of high-stakes leadership experience and emotional intelligence to every engagement, helping others lead with clarity, courage, and integrity where it matters most.

"Great leaders create the conditions where people want to perform. They build trust, set clear standards, lead with humility and bring people along for the mission. These behaviours can be taught."
- James Jensen
What we stand for
ownership
Growth begins when we take full responsibility for our decisions, our impact, and even our mistakes. This is the only way we can learn and grow.
experimentation
Great leaders don’t just repeat what's done before. I believe in trying, observing, and adjusting. The challenges we face are often complex and may not have a single known solution.
excellence
Good is never the goal. I encourage high standards, and I support leaders in meeting them - with clarity and intention.
human
Real leadership is human. It takes courage to embrace vulnerability, face discomfort, challenge others, and be challenged in return.
